The 2006 of this was outstanding and was a really big seller. This is the new 2007, and is a very good effort from a difficult vintage. 63% Cabernet Sauvignon and 37% Shiraz, it's a throwback to these great blends of yesteryear. As i say 2007 was a difficult vintage but this is a really good wine. Chocolate and plum on the nose with cassis and oak. It's medium-full bodied with ripe fruit, plum, cassis and hints of black cherry, chocolate and vanillan oak, a streak of redcurrant like acidity gives it great balance. It's a really good chunky red that is drinking well, but will age 5-7 years.
