This was the winner of the Air New Zealand Wine Awards Champion Pinot Noir trophy late in 2008. It's a wonderfully silky Pinot. Ripe black cherry and raspberry fruit on the nose with some toasty oak. The fruit is ripe and sweet on the palate with lots of black cherry and raspberry as per the nose. It's bursting with primary fruit and is hugely attractive, spice and integrated creamy oak on the long finish. It has a savoury edge too, meaty and dense with really good acidity keeping it really fresh. A hugely attractive Central Otago Pinot that is hedonistic and voluptuous now though will age over the next 3-4 years. Top quality.
