A new Domaine to me, and yet another cracking 2007 Rhone red. Deep in colour, warm spicy fruit on the nose, black cherry, raisin, plum and garrigue too- dried herbs and white pepper. It's rich and full, yet remains bouncy and juicy. Lovely ripe Grenache to the fore, cherry, raspberry, plum, raisin, white pepper, spice and soft tannins. It's a powerful yet very drinkable red that was great with braised oxtail tonight. Will age for a few years too, though simply lovely right now. Oh i love properly ripe Grenache such as this !!!
