2006 Burgundy and Rhone En Primeur Offers are now live and updated, especially with Beaucastel - please click on the relevant name to go straight to the offer. Great wines throughout both offers and as usual a number of the wines are very limited in quantity. Now live on the site are new offers from Gaia (Italy), M. Chapoutier Selection Parcellaires (France), Penfolds (Australia), Vega Sicilia (Spain), Ornellaia (Italy), Ridge (California), Zind-Humbrecht (France).

Ca' dei Frati 'I Frati' Lugana

2007, £11.95

This new Lugana is absolutely delicious. Attractive white peach on the nose, ripe citrus too. It's crisp and tangy on the palate with lovely white peach and honeyed citrus. Quite grapey also. It's really appealing, great fruit and fresh acidity. Very drinkable and adaptable. Delicious as an aperitif and lovely with a creamy, quite rich fish pie. Made with the Trebbiano di Lugana grape and really very good indeed.
